Requires:
ACCOMPANIST (Manny) - rehearsal pianist for the Julliard School, any age/ethnicity/gender.   Must be an excellent, classically trained pianist, comfortable with operatic repertoire.
FIRST SOPRANO (Sophie) - 20-40, any ethnicity, sings Amina's aria from LA SONNAMBULA (BELLINI), classically trained, acting experience preferable.
SECOND SOPRANO (Sharon) - 20-40, any ethnicity, sings Lady Macbeth from MACBETH (VERDI), classically trained, acting experience preferable.
TENOR (Tony) - 20-40, any ethnicity, sings Recondita Armonia from TOSCA (PUCCINI), classical training, acting experience preferable.
STAGEHAND - any age/ethnicity/gender.
Notes:  Those selected for an audition will be asked to prepare 2 arias (one of which will be from the show), a scene from the show, and a short monologue of his/her choosing. www.artsclub.com

50 FUN THINGS

Production Dates: August 16th – 26th
Audition Dates: May 10th – 13th
Requires: Kelsey Dallas (female 17-25) Quirky, over-the-top, fun-loving and a natural rebel. She is the one who initially develops the 50 Fun Things theory. While she likes to approach life playfully and joyfully, she experiences some real depths of fear, despair, and sorrow. Nonetheless, her infallible optimism is her defining trait.
Notes: Non-union. The story revolves around the theory that no matter where you are or what's happening around you, there are always 50 fun things you can do in that situation. Two friends decide to test this theory out in all sorts of eccentric adventures. Along the way, they experience loss, doubt and hurt, and through these trials, find ways to never give up hope and and enjoy life, as they bit by bit fall in love with one another.

Auditions will be held for equity artists on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at
Kaleidoscope Studios - 3130 Jutland Road, Victoria, B.C.
